Lean pipe is widely used in our industry, and it is divided into many different specifications. At the same time, lean pipe is a lightweight and high-strength pipe material widely used in aviation, rail transportation, automobiles, ships and other fields. Today SUNQIT will explain to you how aluminum alloy pipes are made?
1. Extrusion molding method
Extrusion molding is one of the most commonly used methods for forming aluminum alloy tubes. This method places aluminum alloy billets in a heated state into the hopper of an extruder, and after high-pressure and mold extrusion molding, they become aluminum alloy pipes with a certain shape and wall thickness. The extrusion molding method can produce various specifications of aluminum alloy pipes with diameters ranging from 1-250m, requiring professional extruders, molds, and heating equipment.
2. Stretch forming method
The stretch forming method is to heat the aluminum alloy billet to a certain temperature, and then stretch the billet into shape through a stretch forming machine. The advantages of stretch forming method are low cost, high degree of automation, and the ability to manufacture aluminum alloy pipes of various sizes and wall thicknesses.
3. Insertion molding method
Insertion molding method is to prefabricate aluminum alloy billets into shapes or process them into fixed heads at both ends, insert a molding mold in the center of the billet, and press the aluminum alloy billet to form an aluminum alloy tube with upper and lower ends. The cost of producing aluminum alloy pipes using this method is relatively high, but it can produce aluminum alloy pipes with complex shapes that require a complete head.
4. Cold drawing forming method
The cold drawing method is to heat an aluminum alloy billet to a certain temperature, then insert it into a mold, and use the high-speed rotation of the mold to stretch the billet into a specified shape of aluminum alloy tube. The cost of cold drawing forming method is relatively high, but the forming process will not damage the original fiber structure, so the aluminum alloy pipes produced have excellent mechanical properties and good surface quality.
5. Rolling forming method
Rolling forming method is to put the heated aluminum alloy billet into a rolling mill, and deform it into aluminum alloy pipes of specified shape and size through rolling. The advantage of rolling forming method is that it can produce aluminum alloy pipes with uniform wall thickness, relatively low cost, and suitable for large-scale production. The forming methods of aluminum alloy pipes are different and can be flexibly selected according to specific usage requirements. Regardless of the method used, it is necessary to ensure excellent materials, standardized production processes, and high-precision production equipment. This is the only way to ensure the high quality of aluminum alloy pipes and meet various usage requirements.
